It doesn't matter what Intel looks like to you. It only matters what they look like to the market. AMD wants to play the DC game? Intel can supply them in almost limitless quantities. AMD can't.

Strange. I thought that Intel had good yields and their fab utilization was high- yet in 9 months they can go from not even having it in their plans to literally a "limitless" supply a chip twice their regular size w/o problem? Another "nanosecond" from Intel?

AMD played the 64-bit game and now Intel owns the market. The pattern continues...

Boy, their patch job is not even officially available for sale and they already own the 64 bit market? Getting overconfident are we?

Did you forget that Intel would rather not have their 3.2GHz patch job compared against a 2.4GHz A64 in anything! It'll be embarrassing. And you can forget about a server comparison, where it really matters, for another 9 months- or who knows for how much longer. AMD "owns" that market till Q1 06 at least. Why is the patch job not being sold in the server market? Desktop needs it more urgently?

:)
