Not quite right, Ali. Personally I loved Reagan's tax breaks. Not that I personally had any benefit of that at the time but because they were bold and creative.
He, or rather his advisors, were the first to understand the simple fact, that rising taxes unlimited would not only strangle the economy but actually result in decreasing tax revenues.
I liked that as an economist. Laffer hit on a strike of genius when he applied well understood micro economic rules to the macro economy.

But you still avoid my question: "Do I read your comment correctly that a staggering state deficit justifies a confiscation of your property from your children when you die?" Just a yes or a no would suffice.
