Blogs for Bush

Did you know Cuba just had an election? Did you care? Of course not; Cuba is a ruthless, totalitarian dictatorship. They might go through a sham vote every now and again, but we all know that the votes will show a landslide for Cuba's Communist Party because, well, no other Party is allowed to contest the elections. So, how does the MSM report on these bogus Cuban elections? Like this:

<<<

Fidel Castro Calls Municipal Elections in Cuba "most Democratic in the World"
>>>

It is only near the end of the report that we get this handy tidbit of information:

<<<

...critics of Castro's government argue that tight state control, a heavy police presence and neighborhood-watch groups that report on their neighbors prevent any real political freedom on the island.
>>>

Shouldn't the headline have read "Cuba Holds Phony Election; Cuban Dictator Absurdly Claims They Are "most democratic in the world"? That would be if we had news agencies which reported the news...but what we've got are downright idiots who don't seem to realise how stupid they appear.
