i remember a few of the homeless while working at 6th and Flower streets. the parking garage would empty out in the morning before commuters would arrive. I would run into a woman (bag lady) coming out of the garage each morning as i drove in. She appeared to be mentally challenged, and if anyone every got near her she would get aggressive. Having seen this happen once or twice when someone would offer her a few bucks or talk to talk to her.

Other times walking down the street during lunch time i would hear a movement in bushes on concrete wall base . Inside between a few hedges were one or two people sleeping.

I expect quite a few of homeless prefer to live in boxes, bushes, parking garages vs first rate shelters. i also expect it would be a great place (first rate shelter ) for those who fell on hard times and are trying to start over.
