Very good point. A lot of people justify larger more intrusive and more powerful government with the idea that it is needed to keep big powerful businesses in check, but in fact big government often feeds big businesses. The businesses are powerful enough to lobby for favorable regulations and for subsidies, and are more able to deal with most normal forms of regulation than smaller companies so the regulation gives them an advantage even if it is not explicitly or obviously tilted to specific companies or to large companies in general.
