You are correct. Most conservatives are less interested in the publicity and more interested in the cause. Look at the big libs, somehow their names always have to be associated with their giving or it never happens. The most hypocritical is when they raise money to name something after a liberal politician who never gave anything in his or her life.

As I have said before, giving is a thing to do because you feel required to or because you like (and want to promote) the cause.

Not all people who put their name out there are doing for the wrong reasons. I have been solicited by people in important positions, and by important people who lent their name to a cause. One man said that he did not have the time to do the mundane fund raising tasks, but felt he could contribute by having his name listed by them. It was not his idea; the charity sold him on it.
