Let the US school bans begin:

Here is an article about a California elementary school banning Tamagotchis:

cnn.com

It's interesting that the article talks about Tamagotchis, but the picture in the article is of a generic knock-off. Looks like Tamagotchi is becoming the recognized brand name for virtual pets, like Kleenex is for facial tissues and Chap-Stick is for lip balm.
