Just out of curiosity, so your definition of a "superior product" is that it outsells its competitor? Is this the only criteria? IMO you have always made valid statements about the profitability of Intel and its products but I think you may not what to take such a simple approach to your definition. There are hundreds of reasons why Intel sells more product than AMD and a majority of those have absolutely nothing to do with the actual product. A few of the biggest that I can think of off the top of my head
include:
1) OEM support.
2) Marketing
3) Manufacturing
4) Fair market
......
I for one believe that in the true sense of the word IPF is "superior" to x64. Let IPF does not outsell x64. Pentium-M is
*superior* to Pentium-4 let it does not outsell it. I can go
on and on with such examples.
