Mohan, It is just the old thoughts, but here they are again: 1. The market is at least 40 pct. overvalued on every possible measure, assuming you believe the eps. 2. I don't believe the eps. 3. Asian pullbacks are going to wack the fastest growing part of the economy. 4. Investors are too stupid to live. -g- 5. Greenspan has flooded the world with so many dollars that indigestion will turn into a colostomy bag. 6. Y2K, though not the end of the world, is still not factored into anyone's forecast. 7. Tech stocks are highly cyclical and the cycle has turned. 8. Folks actually believe what a goof like Mike Dell says. I haven't heard him wax so eloquently since he told us DRAM prices were going to be tight forever in early 1995. -g- The guy is smart, but everything he says is designed to pad his wallet, not to be "statesmanlike" overviews of the industry or the world. 9. Nobody sees the slowdown in eps or the inflation in assets, especially Greenspan. 10. A sufficient # of suckers have moved their life savings from safe CDS and insurance GICs into speculative crapola to do maximum damage. MB
