Dear Ephud:

You have stated that Intel has been "making money" on flash. That it is profitable. Define what you mean by "profitable" or "making money". Somehow I get the impression you are not defining these in the same way we are.

By my definitions, if flash was in its own division with its own breakout in the earnings statements, including all costs, it has not been profitable in any of the last few quarters. You claim it is and offer no proof other than the equivalent of "I have inside information ... that I can't divulge". You do not accept this from any one else. So it is not allowed for you to use it.

So as pure information, what is your definition of "profitable" and "making money" and any other synonymous terms. Then we can use those definitions to have common ground.

Of course if you change the definition depending on who it applies to, then it isn't a definition, is it?

Pete
