The interoperability problems that you mentioned are real, but I can speak from first hand experience that they are pretty much solved and the new era of software downloads will allow the field to get up to date with common code in a very short period of time. The biggest problem is now that these problems are solved, both Rockwell and Lucent will start jockeying to get competitive advantage over the other. This is big business and cooperation only goes so far. The biggest advantage is the mass of K56flex camp followers that has been maintained. This is going to be a numbers game in my opinion.
