Go read the JFTC site again. Intel could have chosen to fight it all the way to the Japanese Supreme Court. They admitted no guilt and agreed to modify business practices to avoid a potentially long and protracted fight. People and business do this all the time.

Here’s an example that might help you and other understand reality: Your HOA may tell you that you tree is not trimmed right and asks you to trim it. You may disagree with their ruling, but spending thousands of dollars to fight the ruling may not make sense if you can just take your saw and trim a branch. You may still believe that your interpretation of the rules as written where correct… where you “guilty” of anything because you chose to not fight it?
