More on Pope Bashing Common Sense and Wonder Reuters has a headline "Arch-Conservative German Elected Pope". They also have this phrase in the body of the article "a surprise choice that delighted traditionalist Roman Catholics but stunned moderates hoping for a more liberal papacy." Of course the people who want more liberal policies are labelled moderates. And what is an archconservative anyway? Sounds like archvillian.
