I think the point being made is that farmed fish may not be in the best interest of the environment. That there may not be enough wild salmon to fill the market is not a reason to continue supporting farmed salmon, especially since farmed salmon may have significant negative impacts on the wild stocks and the environment.

I'm not sure what the percentages are in regards to the amount of farmed salmon bought verses wild salmon in the US. What is the basis of "95% of the Salmon we eat is farm raised"?
