ep~

no, i hadn't, but i just did....

The toad mind was wet and warm and slow.

first, it is a wonderful story..
and second,
yes.. exactly.. this is how it seems on
a warm evening when you are among the frogs
or toads in a place where the calling is intense.

here, where i am, the Spring peeper calls are
so intense that they sound like high-pitched bells...
dozens of them ringing in a sort of surging pattern
like people shaking dozens of tambourines in the darkness.
even when you come indoors,
you feel like you can still hear them...
a sort of auditory hallucination... or is it?
perhaps more that you are still feeling them
just because they are "out there"
and you are part of them.
