Ali "Think more: you got $2.20 in one pocket, but your other..."
Your comment is amazing; it almost reads like criticism of a business model, which makes money. Are you suggesting that Intel would be better off if the model made no money at all?
Are you saying that you prefer business models, which make hardly any money, because than they have no problem with how to spend it?
We live in capitalism and this is an investment oriented thread. One of the criteria used broadly in capitalism to value businesses is to count money business makes each quarter. By the way, role of management in business is to motivate employees to do good work. In capitalism employees like to be well paid you know, you may even assume (for simplicity of analyses) that they work for money, nothing else. So in applying the capitalistic criteria it looks to me that they are doing excellent work, since they made net $2.2 B in three months (net $7.95 B in 12 months, $19.75 B in gross profit in last 12 months, just checked the data on the Yahoo financial site).

Intel is a company, which figured out how to make tons of money by producing chips of different sort. There are other companies, which are still trying to figure it out. Actually there are even some, which managed to make no money at all and still pretend that they have a business model (in capitalism). If you are looking for this kind of model to invest your money I will gladly provide you with some names. I am sure that others on this thread would be able to help you too.

Happy investing,
willowy
