Last year, i was looking at those wading pants
that have a built-in sock..
they just look like regular pants, but are waterproof
and you wear them with wading shoes..the kind with
a gasket at the ankle.

That sounds cool! I'll have to see if I can find them.

My waders have a sock built in.

Then I have some canvas wading boots I put on over them
that have felt bottoms that help get a little bit of
traction on those slippery rocks.

The waders are somewhat breatheable. I can also roll the top
part down and wear them like pants on those hot days in
shallow water.

These are them:

You can find them on Ebay for mucho less dinero.

I wear a belt around them that is supposed to help prevent
them from ballooning if they get filled with water. It also
helps prevent the water from seeping down too much if I step
into a pot hole.

Wading certainly is a lot more dangerous than I expected.
Especially when caught up in the excitement of fighting a
fish, it is easy to get carried away... Literally.

If I was ambishous enough I would work on some sort of new
invention that incorporates a life vest with a fishing vest...

Maybe one that has one of those CO2 things that inflate when
you pull on a string...

Then I could sell millions of them and afford to spend more
time fishing.

...but I'm too busy with work...

Gotta run.
