Forget the name calling for a sec and your point is well taken. Dems have been a minority party because they are base catering all the time. They end up with Dean as chairman and that symbolizes it all for many american mods who might have gone with them against the Rep party which is now also playing to base. Evangelical christians, extreme tax cutter libertarians, and the wilsonians among the neocons trump pro-union, moral relativist, equalitarians who control todays democrat reactionary party. Coming soon to your town either will be one party smelling the coffee, more likey to be dems because they are weaker or a third party that will at worst determine an outcome or two.
