Raymond, I have been following your advice and staying out of the sun <G>. Re: totally delusional thinkers ruled Germany and Japan. I don't think so. Germany, with a little luck and absent a few really bad calls (like the 1941 USSR invasion) could have prevailed. And the really big screw up for the Axis was Pearl Harbor as that brought in the US. Absent those two really bad moves (or maybe just Pearl Harbor) this world might be a really different and maybe much better place.

Before Pearl Harbor there is just no way FDR could have brought the US to war, despite the support of liberal Republicans like Wendell Wilkey. The American public still remembered the screwing administered to them by Woodrow Wilson and the Democrats in WWI.
