YES! A resounding YES to all of the above. And who can blame them?

"How many times does one patient see ten different doctors in rapid succession and get ten different CBCs?"
Rarely, unless the CBC is being monitored for response to a given treatment.

I may be carbon-dating myself, but I remember when CBCs did cost
only that much. <g>

I could be wrong, but I believe physicians are forbidden from accepting "kickbacks." They may own diagnostic facilities in part or in whole, but such must be disclosed to patients they refer to any facilities in which they have a financial interest. - Holly
