The IV seems to point in that direction. The last time I saw this set up where the IV did not drop after the "big news" on high volume was Winn Dixie. They declared bankruptcy.

I am not saying that IBM is going into bankruptcy but terrible business news does seem likely if IV does not start falling very soon.
