A very smart woman said to me yesterday. "I lived through the depression. And as long as they continue to build. And give the impression that houses are still selling. And in reality everybody is hurting. And business is down. And nobody is going anywhere and doing anything. And buying anything. Because in part, gas prices are so high. As long as they can give the impression that things are still selling. Then they can continue to sell. but once that image is tarnished. It's all over." And she said. "We are in a depression. We have been in a depression. People just don't know it yet."
