Here's Mexico (from previous link):
MEXICO:

Infant mortality rate:
Definition Field Listing Rank Order
total: 21.69 deaths/1,000 live births
male: 23.63 deaths/1,000 live births
female: 19.65 deaths/1,000 live births (2004 est.)

In 2004, Hispanic men age 65 can expect to live another 19.5 years, 3.0 years longer than non-Hispanic White men and 4.4 years longer than non-Hispanic Black men. Data from the Census show that Hispanic women's life expectancy at age 65 is 22.8 years, 2.9 years longer than non-Hispanic White women and 4.2 years longer than non-Hispanic Black women.

That says Hispanic
Males: 84.5 years
Females: 87.8 years

Much better than Mexico.

In addition, recent trips south of the bodrer indicate the "American disease" - obesity - is taking grip down there quite nicely as their standard of living rises. It used to - 20 years ago - there were no supermarkets in Mexico. Now they are as common as here.

That's anecdotal evidence in that para. Additionally, and anecdotally, the same is true of Europe. What has kept they and the Mexicans slim in the past has been lack of money and difficulty obtaining food. Now that is changing abd their average obesity with it.
