If Israel had some oil, they might be worth something. They don't, and they aren't. The fact that they are a thorn in the side of those who do have oil is reason enough to dump them. It's simple realpolitics. If Bush were to start INSISTING on enforcing UN Resolution 242 as he has OTHER UN Resolutions, he'd find new allies and friends all over the Arab world.
