| History and geography and anthropology appeal more to some of us than do maths and harder sciences, though ... all those numbers, what are you people thinking ... of course there are numbers in history too, but they tend to be rounder, without all the decimal points, many of them conveniently placed on a timeline with only two dimensions, forward and backward, and anyway, under prevailing historical community standards you just make up the numbers you like ... of course it's possible that there are alternate timelines with other histories parallel or juxtaposed [sp?] in some way - Ford may have meant that history is in bunk beds, stacked to the sky and unstable, it could have been a warning ... nevertheless, as historians victorious in the acquisition of a keyboard, we make our own don't we ... i'm just making this because my ride is quite late, he'll have his own history no doubt, if he ever gets here, but you will not lack for typing with Slagle 'n Ray around, you must instruct them in the constant mention and/or use of this CMDA apparatus, but you might go easy on the decimal-point type numbers until verifying that one or more won't get too excited or nod off or something .... g'day |
