i definitely agree with that...communism is done for in China. no way are they going to go back to it. the only circumstance that might change that would be a long lasting and deep global depression - but probably not even that would induce a change of the new course ( as we have seen in Russia, where many people expressed a longing for the 'good old times' when crisis struck in '98 , the swell of support for the communists proved very fleeting ) .
in any case, my post wasn't so much in reference to China, but rather to dispute the idea that communism MIGHT be workable per se. cold economic logic says this idea should be once and for all consigned to the dustbin.
