michael, Augustine taught that sexual desire was not present in man originally. It arose as a result of the sin of disobedience. Man's soul was now deprived of its original mastery over the body. Before man's fall, procreation was a deliberate act of will, like a handshake. Spontaneous sexual arousal was clear evidence of the effect of original sin. He also taught that original sin was transmitted in the semen. Jesus was therefore the only person not contaminated by original sin as he was conceived by the Holy Ghost.

Now you see how Adam's fall caused sexual desire, not God. If it were not for Adam's transgression the sex act would be no more pleasurable than a handshake.
