Hi rrufff, Yes, this is all true, you are correct. But it is so rare that, for the sake of simplicity, I just ignored all this. IMHO, it really isn't a problem because retailers generally will not be involved in naked shorting. Personally, I have never heard of anybody getting screwed the way you outline, but I have no doubt this is a possibility---just a relatively remote one. Good points just the same, and thanks. T
