The factory farms are terrible- I don't think you can overstate how horrible the lives of some raised-for-meat animals are. They really have a lifetime in hell, only to end up in an inhumane slaughtering line. I don't think most people can handle thinking about the abusive lives these animals lead, or the terror they experience when they die. Since animals have no voice to tell us of their abuse, I think it's important that there are at least a few human beings speaking up for the animals.
