It was a lot easier to work on a car LOL! I noticed quite a while ago they were working towards a car that could not be worked on at home. They finally made it. I can't even find the oil drain in these new ones, much less actually change the filter. and people had never heard of politically correct. "Politically correct" is decades old. Came out of the '60s and Vietnam. Actually, I believe its older. I think it was before that in the Communist Party. Simpler? The '50s and '60s were spent waiting for The Really Big War to start. Remember fallout shelters? Duck and cover (like THAT would do any good). McCarthyism? The Cuban Missile Crisis? The turmoil of the Vietnam War? The fear of a possible revolution? Watergate? The Iran hostage crisis? When were things so simple?" They don't get simpler or more complex. They just get different.
