I'm not sure that I would call seeking a third and fourth term corrupt. Power seeking yes, but that's normal for politicians.

My main dislike about him was his economic policies. He greatly expanding government. In particular laws like the Agricultural Adjustment Act, and the National Industrial Recovery Act were basically anti-capitalist, and also probably prolonged the depression. Your in a severe downturn so what does the government order? A severe cutback in production, and restrictions on competition. Before the courts struck down some of FDR's laws you could go to jail for offering a discount. That's something you would expect from a totalitarian government not from a popularly elected president in capitalist democracy. On top of that FDR actually called for a 100% top tax rate. The top tax rate in 1932 went from 25% to 63%, in 1935 it went to 75%, eventually it would go to 94%. FDR never did get his 100% rate but it wasn't that far off.
