You keep making the argument that because humans are bigger, or can use tools better, they have the inherent right to inflict as much cruelty as possible on every other species. Humans do not own the earth (although we definitely will be responsible for ruining it). Other species, including mammals and birds, are very intelligent and have emotions very close to ours. Capitalism is not a very high belief system, spiritually. It doesn't create good outcomes for the planet, or for humans, either, really. It seems to leave them spiritually dead, after all the resources are plundered. Rape and pillage! Torture and murder!! Whee!!! Most people believe in some restrictions on capitalism. In Europe, factory farming is being severely restricted now. Ironically, some of the dairy farmers are moving to the U.S. Of course the entire countryside and waterways where they have moved to are being degraded by their dairy operations. Why should individual farmers have the right to ruin ecosystems for pure profit, anyway?
