I would slap a mosquito if the choice was that it was going to bite me. But by using mosquito repellants, making sure there are not pools of water on your property that breed mosquitos, choosing what you eat and the scents you wear, you can minimize mosquitos being born, and especially being attracted to your or your house. So you can end up killing far fewer of them if you make conscious kind choices. That is kind of what the book I was talking about discusses.
