Nice to see all you guys still kicking the tires on the market!

Yahoo!!!! (or should I now say GOO - GULL!) hehehe

Still like DRIV long, buying more here. These guys keep beating estimates and announcing upside almost every quarter. What's not to like, especially burning shorts on this company.

I'm back into oils (CHK) seems like a solid nat gas/oil play.

I bought some Canada Fund and International small cap fund at Fido.

On the economic front, what sent shock waves through the market last week is that the dreaded word S T A G F L A T I O N might be back.

Naaaaaasty. Slowing economy and FED has to raise rates to contain inflation. Going to get ugly if I am right, and I'm thinking more like I am. A few more months, if they don't fudge the numbers on us, will be helpful to figure this out.

If so, cash will be looking real good, as will some consumer non-discretionary stocks. People still have to blow their noses and brush their teeth, eh?

More and more evidence is accumulating that consumers are going to accept price increases as inevitable (a few white goods mfgrs have already raised prices once, got no squawking from customers, so did it yet again shortly thereafter.....), and once the ball starts rolling on that, up we go on everything.

I still don't believe that productivity increases can ever offset an almost doubling of a core commodity price that flows through everything. Yes, that's right: It's O I L yet again.

Best to you all, always.

Steve
