[" We are moving WAY too fast here for most humans en masse to process the info."]

...in all due respect and in the nicest way I can possibly phrase my take on that entire post:

That is the biggest crock of psychobabble Permabull$hit - I've ever read in the history of SI.

Speculation is , was and will always be...way ahead in not just processing; but in OVER-PROCESSING all of the information anyone in the market can hype, exaggerate, or misrepresent.

Just ask the Internet, Tech & Telecom investors from the Nasdaq Bubble.

...that same crock of $hit was the thesis of Mary Meeker & Henry Blodgett.

- ie: we just weren't grasping the speed of change, the new emerging information & tech age, the new valuation paradigms....yada, yada, yada,

Remember these great examples of "cognitive conservatism" !?!?!

- CIBC Oppenheimer Henry Blodgett's famous call that Amazon.com stock would hit $400 ?

- Banc of America Securities' prediction just months before the collapse, that Enron would reach $105 a share ?

- Salomon Smith Barney predicting networking-gear maker JDS Uniphase (JDSU) would hit $300 a share ?

- Credit Suisse First Boston originally predicted Corvis (CORV), a networking startup, would reach $125 in August 2000, in October 2001, CSFB predicted the stock would go to $6 ?

From Sock Puppet Super Bowl Ads - to Super Spike New Era Paradigms:

~ Fools rush in where angels fear to tread & Fools rush in where wise men never go ~

Thank You Johnny Mercer & Frank Sinatra....we don't need no stinkin Woodey Dorsey...Tommy was just fine.

Actually; I think the theme song for the Matt Simmons New Paradigm Permabulls should be another Frank classic (an offshoot of the existing Permabullian theme of "Too the Moon - Alice" :

Fly me to the moon - Matt Simmons ~

Fly me to the moon
Let me sing among those Naz 5000 stars
Let me see what spring is like in Ghawar
$105 Oil On jupiter and mars

In other words, hold my hand Don Coxe
In other words, baby kiss me Matt, you fox

Fill my heart with China song
Let me sing for supply no more
You, depletion are all I long for
Crude is All I worship and adore

In other words Peak Oil, please be true
In other words Hubberts Peak, I love you
