New York Stock Exchange Issues Monthly Short Interest Report NEW YORK Apr. 21, 2005 - The New York Stock Exchange today reported short interest as of the close of business on the settlement date of Apr. 15, 2005 reflecting transactions through Apr. 12. Based on information received from members and member organizations, short interest increased to a record 8,439,004,525 shares on Apr. 15 from 8,419,194,508 shares on Mar. 15.
