Are you kidding me? The latest so-called "energy bill" just passed by the U.S. House is prima facie evidence that income redistribution is alive and well in the good ol' U.S.A. Here, we are completely unabashed about the process. If you are richer than Croesus, as the oil companies are today, income is redistributed to your over-burdened coffers. If you are a mere mortal or merely middle class, or heaven help you, poor.... well, fuggedabout it, you are the designated chump in the grandest wealth redistribution scam the world has ever witnessed.

It's welfare for the corporations, and beans for the working stiffs.
