Gibbogle, From the point of view of American cannon fodder about 98% of the warmongering has been an activity of the left with maybe the last 2% a product of the two Bushes and Reagan. Without getting in to the European issues at its source it was the Democrat Woodrow Wilson who worked like a devil in the dark to bring the US into WWI in 1917 all the while proclaiming publicly and even winning his reelection in 1916 on the promice of no war. After that disaster every American would-be politician practically had to take a pacifist vow before his name would get on the ballot until our first socialist leader, Democrat FDR (who curiously enough had served under Dr. Wilson as Ass. Sec. of the Navy and who considered Wilson his mentor) Using every provocation public and private managed the hat trick again and launched another war. Dr. Roosevelt had a much steeper pull than Dr. Wilson had for the American public having been screwed once by Dr. Wilson was prepared or thought they were. They had created a vast national movement "America First" and had chosen Charles Lindberg, th most popular American ever as their leader. A majority of both houses of congress pleged support to America First and passed legislation ordering Dr. Roosevelt and his underlings to keep the peace. YO know the rest of the story.

The next liberal Democrat, Dr. Truman brought us the joys of th Korean War and lefties everywhere are at odds over whether it was Dr. Kennedy or Dr. Johnson who launched the Vietnam war, but in any event BOTH of the good doctors were liberal Democrats. Reagan brought us Grenada and the Bushes Iraq. Those are the facts, sir.
