Chirex having quite a day today! Can't find any news out there - does anyone know of any brokerage house recommendations, etc?

Saw on 8/26 that Prof. Jacobsen has been appointed to the board of directors - very smart move. Jacobsen seems to have a knack at coming up with excellent industrial strength technology; Chirex's appointment ensures they'll get a nice first look at anything new that Harvard and he have to license.

The R and S propylene oxides will be solid money makers for them, as will the R and S epichlorohydrin and R and S butadiene monoepoxides. The latter will compete with a new venture by Eastman Chemicals, which has a lead on producing the BME enantiomers (that's the R or S form of the compound - think of them as your left or right handed version), but I'd expect Chirex will become the low cost provider in this area.

Imagine - a growth chemical company. What will they think of next?

Randy
