The salient question - the one your author of course never asks, as it's not considered polite - is: if the question is just constructing the border between Israel and Palestine, why can't some of the Jewish "settlers" stay in Palestine? They would have to become Palestinian citizens, just like the Arab citizens of Israel.

Eminently civilized yes? So why is it never suggested? Why, as the author notes, is ethnic cleansing universally condemned, except when the subject for discussion is ethnic cleansing of Jews from Palestine. In this case it's universally insisted upon.

Ever stop to ponder this paradox?
