Another horrible month in Iraq. I was wondering when the media would realize that Iraq is still a mess and stop buying all the premature celebration of the extremists. Basically the extremists are fools (like all fools they don't learn from history), but they are also idealists. If they were just tilting at windmills, I would admire their idealism (while still dismissing them as fools). But since their idealism involves death and violence, I can't even give the extremists that much. They are despicable fools. At least I voted for Kerry. But even that is little solace in these dark times.
