I would think that US car manufacturers might consider the option of partnering with the Chinese. China furnishes the labor and the American companies furnish the distribution channel. Seems like the US manufacturers might learn something from the way the Japanese went pretty much solo and established their own dealership networks and eventually kicked the US auto maker's butts here in the US of A.
