It is a good read. We killed about 3 million Vietnamese there, right? And about 58,000 Americans died?
In the end, what we feared most, happened, the Communists overran the country after we left.

And you know what? The world didn't end. They eventually figured out it was better for them to go semi-capitalist, like China.

So I would say it was not worth it, not for the 58,000 Americans dead, the other 100,000+ wounded, and the 3 million Vietnamese we killed trying to give freedom to the others. They didn't want us there - reminds me a little of another place where we fight on now - determined to give them what we know is best for them...
