I think all these polls are full of bias. Here's one that shows opposite result;
Poll Shows Support for Oil Drilling in ANWR
In a poll released by Harris Interactive on January 27, 2005, energy reform was listed by the public as being a top agenda for the new Congress to consider. More importantly, one of the questions in the poll's first table asked, "How much would you support or oppose the following items that might be on the agenda of the new Congress?" Energy reform to allow companies the ability to drill for oil in certain areas such as the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) to decrease our reliance on foreign oil

The results showed 53 percent of the American people supported allowing companies the ability to drill for oil in certain areas such as the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).
