i find he's quite on the mark actually. and with great precision. you guys only read the first half of crossing the chasm, or at the least completely ignored the second half... as weak as the work was in actual practice over a nicely honed theory... one thing is true.... when you see csco routers etc hanging from the equivalent of a peg board at K mart... the revolution has hit main street. along with everything else.... margins, sales, and all other measures become a no growth game, reverting to a commodity game.. until the killer app, or the killer market comes along to give life to all those grand forward looking valuations... well guess what... the last part of that certainly hasn't happened yet, and the first number of chapters in that book were never delivered either. you're living in a dream world fundamentally speaking. but hey, if you like faith based risk, by all means, do it with gusto.
