I understand your objection but i think you underestimate the importance of such a statement of US intentions to these iraq politicians who are each day looking more like clowns each day. They need to be shaken. There is nothing else in the Middle East that is more important than a decent outcome in iraq. If that happens iran and syria fall or stay in place and the I/Pal thing has a better chance of being resolved. With current stag-nation in iraq, the baath-terror alliance is once again rearing its ugly head. Mike
