I knew of Vets who came back.. They were interns for me as they worked to get a Degree from local Universities. So I heard a lot of stories. One Vet was in a wheel chair. He could maneuver that thing from the parking lot right into the school. This was just about the time that the Disabilities Act was enacted and a ramp was made by the curb.

One of my interns had a RX habit. Drugs were big in Nam and most of the guys were high all the time as the war was so bad. The events you describe here bring back a lot of what I was told by these men...

Mostly they didn't want to talk about it. It was a horrible experience for them and adjusting to their newly chosen profession... counseling was about all they wanted.
