No it's not. I'm not trying to dodge anything- I'm trying to point out your very weird false dichotomy. Apparently you didn't notice it.

You seem to be saying it's anarchy or the death penalty. My proposal, which I've made over and over, occasionally even to you, is that we have life in prison that means life in prison- for the worst offenders. I also think we need to decriminalize drugs, and take the profit out of the business. IMO it's a lot like prohibition, which I don't think worked very well either. Of course I've said this many times- and it's hardly anarchy.

Now, with our savings from not needing to imprison drug offenders, as well as a savings on death penalty trials, we improve the prison system, and really try to rehabilitate the prisoners who will be reentering society. Treating a prisoner life and animal, when he is going to be released back into society, does not strike me as intelligent. In order to protect ourselves we need to do the very best job of rehabilitating offenders who are not up for life terms. For the most violent criminals life really needs to mean life, and I think we need to be a lot more attentive to child molesters and rapists- who are at such risk of recidivism. Again, no anarchy here. Lots of countries have no death penalty and no anarchy- how do you reconcile that?
