my take away from your post, after adding my own fears and horrors, is that housing is slowing, will slow more, and housing related stuff (carpet) is slowing, and will slow more, for the reason of housing slowing, and for the rationale of cost squeeze, general manufacturing dullsville, etc, which will in turn hit housing in obvious feedback loop
some here will ask us not to generalize and to prove our case
to which i say, hesitate not, run first, and fast, answer questions later
