Thank you and yes I did because I did deserve it. Slept late and did nothing but sit on computer and getting cleaned up and ready for dinner tonight. I'm thinking maybe it is a steak night, as I had seafood over the weekend on my trip.
I have a cat named Pitty Poo, which my husband named cause he said she looked so pitiful, whom I took to the Vet a week ago last Friday and I finally connected with the Vet today to see what her blood work told us. He sees nothing wrong with it and I told him how crazy she acts at night prowling around even jumping from a chest of drawers up to a valance that is up about nine feet on the wall. She has jumped up there so much the hardware has pulled out of a plaster wall and left a hole as large as a large apple. This morning she pulled a crystal liquor decanter off the butler pantry's counter and I think she is doing too much damage around here. I told the Vet we would continue to watch her before coming in to have any more tests done and you'll never believe what he told me we should do.....put her on Prozac...lol I told him if she needed that we might think about putting her down and he said, Oh, no, let's try that first before doing that". I told him that I had heard of humans taking Prozac and they did some pretty horrible things to people around them and I did not want to deal with anything like that with a cat. He giggled and said "No, this is to make her better and very easy to put a drop in her ear on the skin part". Well I have to pick it up tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday afternoon. Just hope the next thing he wants to try is not a cat psychiatrist of all things. I take care of my animals very well, but there may be a better solution than that I think. At my age, taking care of a psychotic cat should not be a priority in my golden years. I take enough pills, much less having to keep up with pills for a cat, and my husband is very good about taking care of them when I leave to travel, but I can hardly wait to hear what he has to say about giving her Prozac and him being responsible for her when I am away from home. She got ugly with him when he was trying to get her out of a closet he opened Saturday and she flew around his leg and scratched him in her hurry to get away from him. That did not help his disposition with her the rest of the day. <gg>
Well the saga of the crazy cat lingers on. |
